Elderflower Pimms

In the words of Beyonce: “Who Run the World? Girls”. I’m here to encourage all of the women out there who are valentine-less to make a humongous batch of my Citrus Pimms and hit the night on the town. I think we have all spent our fair share of Valentines nights as a girls night in one form or another. Some girls stay in and watch a movie with their friends Ben and Jerry. I am here to tell you that some of the best valentines I’ve had included wearing a dress I feel amazing in and celebrating with the love of my friends. Valentines day is a celebration of love and that doesn’t have to be a significant other. 

These Citrus Pimm’s are the ultimate woman cocktail.

Pimm’s is an elderflower-blackberry liqueur that originated in England in the 1800’s and is still the alcohol of choice to some iron-liver brits.  It has a well developed fruity flavor and is the ultimate boost to citrus. The bottle really jumped out at me in my local liquor store and I immediately turned it into a girls night recipe. I paired my Pimm’s with raspberry lemonade but it goes great with most juices and ginger ale! To all the single ladies out there turn the volume up on the Beyonce pandora station, pick out your hottest lipstick, slip into your little black dress, sip on your Citrus Pimm’s and celebrate love.

Elderflower Pimms



8 Ounces of Raspberry Lemonade
1 Tablespoon of Lime Juice
1 1/2 Ounces of Pimm’s Elderflower and Blackberry Liqueur
1 Ounce of Gin or Vodka
Sugar for Glass Rim
Citrus Slices- Lemon, Orange, Lime, Blood Oranges


Pour some sugar onto a plate. Take a lime wedge and rub it along the rim of your glass to coat it. Dip the coated glass into the sugar so it sticks. Fill the glass with ice and a few slices of your favorite citrus fruits. 

In a cocktail shaker combine a handful of ice, raspberry lemonade, lime juice, Pimm’s Liqueur, Gin or Vodka and shake! I topped mine with a bamboo skewer cut in half and garnished with a lemon, blood orange slice, and a blackberry. 

You could easily multiply the recipe by however many drinks you want and pour it in a pitcher sangria style.
