The Best Game Day Snack Board

Every since I was a little kid I ALWAYS remember Sundays being dedicated to football. As a kid it was the worst thing ever because I was insanely bored and I couldn’t figure out why everyone was screaming at the television. I have since grown to understand (not the game! Ha!) that football is actually a culture, a mind set and a tradition. I may not understand the game… but I understand that it’s a tradition that lives on in America, and most importantly, brings everyone together, especially my family.

This year we all have been taking rotations on Sundays having family over. Last week my mom made a huge pot of chili and had everyone over. This weekend, it’s my turn! I like keeping everyone in the living room (mostly so I can get more family time!) but also because everyone always wants to stay close to the television for the game. To make it easy on everyone I am bringing the snacks to the main event. A good snack board is my go to for any party or gathering.

I love to stock up on HUGE cheeseboards whenever I see them. They make the perfect blank ‘canvas’ for a masterpiece of a snack board. I use them for cheese, dessert platters and in this case for a good game day snack board! I can put a little something for everyone on the board to nibble on between quarters.

For this game day snack board I am stocking it up with my favorite crudité items like celery, carrots, sugar snap peas, hummus and ranch. My Dad loves snacking on nuts during sporting games so some pistachios were totally necessary! To bulk up my board, I’m adding in a small batch of buffalo cauliflower and my go toAlpha Plant Based Burritos! Theseall day burritos are my go to for amping up any meal! Plus, I’m always trying to introduce my family to healthier, plant based options. I love to add them to soups and or cut them up for an appetizer board for cocktails. Don’t skip a football Sunday without making yourself an epic snack board, whether you like football or not!
