Tips for great banana bread brownies:

  • Use overripe bananas: The secret to any great banana bread, is overripe bananas. I’m talking extra spotted, almost black bananas! These are the best for extra moist banana bread and are sweeter than yellow bananas.
  • Use an offset spatula: to spread out the brownie mixture. The brownie batter can be a bit thick, use an off set spatula to help spread out the bottom layer evenly.
  • Use a cookie scoop for banana bread: This is an even way to distribute the banana bread batter.
  • Try a mix in: Add in pecans or walnuts to either the brownie or the banana bread batter for a little crunch.

How to store brownies:

The best way to store these banana bread brownies is in an airtight container at room temperature and eat within 3-4 days. You can also freeze brownies! Cut them into squares and double wrap them in plastic wrap and then a layer of foil. Place wrapped brownies into an airtight freezer bag or container and freeze up to 3 months.
