Espresso Spritz

This Espresso Spritz is a beautiful melding of the iconic espresso martini, a bubbly spritz, and an Espressoda. As the next drink in our Summer of Spritz series, you better believe it’s going to be refreshing – but it’s also a richly flavored beverage that you’ll want to savor all night long!

1 oz freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled

1 oz coffee liqueur

½ oz simple syrup

2-3 oz prosecco

1-2 oz sparkling water

Orange wedge

Fill a wine, large coupe or low ball glass with ice. Add espresso, coffee liquor, and simple syrup. Stir together gently. Top with prosecco and sparkling water and stir together once more. Garnish with a orange wedge.

You don’t want to shock the espresso by immediately pouring it over ice, so let it cool for a bit before starting to make your drink. The only extreme temperature that should be involved is ice! Otherwise, everything should be around room temperature.
