This tasty holiday drink is spiked with peppermint schnapps for an extra kick of flavor, but can easily be made into a fun holiday mocktail!
1–2 tbsp chocolate sauce/syrup
2 oz freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee
1–2 oz peppermint schnapps
.5-1 oz coffee creamer or milk of choice
Crushed candy canes
- In a glass pour chocolate sauce or chocolate syrup in the bottom. Add hot espresso or coffee to the chocolate sauce and stir until the two have melted together.
- Add in peppermint schnapps and creamer. Fill the remaining glass with crushed ice and top with a generous layer of whip cream, a drizzle of chocolate sauce and crushed candy canes for topping.
*To turn into a mocktail: Replace peppermint schnapps with 1/2 tsp peppermint extract and add in .5 oz more of coffee and creamer.
