Description
Here is a Tequila Sour recipe that’s fun, frothy and tastes like a margarita with sour mix, but with the extra special touch of egg white foam. Shake it all together and serve at your Mexican-inspired soirees – with the option to make it without egg white to truly make it your own.
Ingredients
1 egg white
2 oz tequila
1 oz lemon juice
1 tsp simple syrup or agave
Dash of bitters
Orange wheel and maraschino cherries, for garnish
Instructions
Dry shake: Add the egg white, tequila, lemon juice, simple syrup or agave, and a few dashes of bitters to a cocktail shaker. Dry shake for 15 seconds.
Wet shake: Add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15-20 seconds.
Strain and garnish: Strain the cocktail into a small chilled glass. Garnish with an orange wheel and maraschino cherry.
Notes
Without Egg White: Use 2 tablespoons aquafaba (chickpea water) or pick up a bottle of cocktail foam.
