Steak frites! Probably one of the most memorable of meals of 2018 for me! This year when we went to France I was having steak frites every other night. Now, every time I see steak frites I can’t help but think of my impromptu trip to Paris with my assistant Abbie in October. I knew at some point I was going to have to recreate this french classic in my own kitchen. One of my favorite ways to develop a recipe is take a classic dish and put a new spin on it. It’s sort of like finding a new show on netflix that is very similar to a show that you fell in love with last year. For me this was when I discovered Riverdale to finally replace Pretty Little Liars. Ah, okay we’re getting off topic now lolz back to steak frites!

These little steak bites pack a punch of flavor and are super filling! They are great if you’re having just a cocktail party or need a bit of time before serving dinner. I went the easy route and bought a bag of plain frozen french fries and jazzed them up with fresh garlic, rosemary, etc. Then just wrap around a small strip of perfectly grilled steak for the most excellent appetizer bite ever! I drizzled a dash or steak sauce on them but you can totally leave this on the side! Perfect appetizers for new years eve, Superbowl, birthday parties, you name it!
